SOLINDARITY – SOLar-driven INDustrial power And heat upgRaded with hIgh-temperature heaT pumps for enhanced integrated process efficiencY
The EU-funded SOLINDARITY project aims to transform the industrial landscape by introducing a solar-powered heat enhancement system. Targeting industrial processes with temperatures up to 280°C, SOLINDARITY integrates a range of innovative and highly efficient components, including thermal solar collectors, thermal energy storage, photovoltaics and high-temperature heat pumps, which complement each other. The orchestration of these components is optimized by the use of AI in the system controller and by a digital twin. Pilot systems are being set up in various industries and climate zones in Germany, Greece and Italy. The project consortium consists of 18 partners in six EU countries and extends as far as Jordan and Morocco.
