Decarbonisation of Cities and Regions with renewable Gases (“DeCIRRA”)
In an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary framework, the Innosuisse flagship project DeCIRRA addresses the following questions: How can we decarbonise cities and regions? How can we make optimal use of local resources and existing infrastructure? What role can energy distributors and renewable gases play in the transition to a net-zero CO2 energy system?
DeCIRRA is a platform that brings together practitioners from many sectors and will focus on critical aspects of sector coupling and relevant options for the production of renewable gases, including power-to-gas. It will compare different options for carbon capture and storage as well as biological negative emissions that are necessary to achieve the net-zero target.
