CombiSound – Combined renovation for sound insulation and comfort in residential buildings
When deciding to replace older apartment blocks, a lack of sound insulation between residential apartments is often an important argument. Renovations that improve sound insulation in the building may reduce the need for building replacements. Synergies can be utilised with the simultaneous introduction of surface heating systems, that pay off economically. Based on an integrated planning approach, the project aims to identify effective combinations of sound insulation and floor or ceiling heating in different types of multi-family houses and to develop ecological constructions that support a circular economy.
